PHILOSOPHY FOR IRENE. This short book is a pedagogical synthesis of philosophy. Its first objective is to be clear and brief but at the same time novel and original. This is because there are not many philosophical works that address the Paleolithic, Neolithic, and the continuity of both cultural periods through the Metal Age and birth of philosophy. There have not been a lot of philosophical studies that focus on the relationship of philosophy to religion, politics, or science, or really with culture in general. And there have been no simple statements of philosophy from within the thought process following the development of thought itself (what philosophers call the transcendental point of view). This book demonstrates the close relationship and deep continuity between philosophy and culture in a story that covers all of human history from 80,000 years ago to the present.
